A letter from the past

Step by step returning to yesterday,
rain is poring so heavy in the night,
lonely she walks at the sidewalk, so alone
No one is able to see the tears
mixed up with the rain

She don't have any way where to go,
just walk and walk on, still alone
Her steps are so silent, in the rain
she doesn't hear anything else either

Her mind is going back
to an earlier moment
to the letter that she received
just a memory of it's written text
she just wanted to die, but why?

She weeps her sorrow out in the rain
he will never more arrive
never more offer his lips to be kissed by her
He will never more care to meet her

Sad, how sad can it be,
how much must she bare

He crossed the line
line drawn by a silent mutual consent
They would never have anyone else
just each others, it was enough

Dreams had lost themselves
lost in the mist arisen by the rain and the cold
Only now she felt that she was old,
how hadn't she felt that before

He had promise to take her away from this life
show her the other side, side of sunshine
but this would only be part
of her memories
for to remember
one day
when she begin to live
again
with a new start
where they have to
be apart
