FRIENDS OF CALAKMUL
Friends of Calakmul (FOC) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to the conservation of jaguars and their habitat in the Calakmul Biosphere Reserve in southern Mexico. The Friends of Calakmul is formed by a small group of scientists and concerned citizens that became aware of the dangers faced by the tropical forests of the Calakmul region due to growing human pressures. This group is committed to the long-term preservation of jaguars and their fragile ecosystem for generations to come.
